1st Workshop of the Center for Colloid and Interface Science
The main focus of the first workshop of the Center for Colloid and Inteface Science is on setting up the the awareness of the spread of colloid and interface science research going on at the University of Copenhagen, attracting additional research groups to join in the further development of the center, and to be a first step in identifying prioritized grand challenges in coming research activities.
- In addition, a plenary lecture will be given by Professor Krister Holmberg, offering a unique experience of colloid
and interface science from his time as CEO for the Institute for Surface Chemistry, as CSO for Berol Nobel
AB, as Head of the Applied Surface Chemistry Section at Chalmers Technical University, and as Editor-in-
Chief of Current Opinion in Colloid and Interface Science. - Further highlighting the importance of colloid and interface science in industrial R&D, a couple of presentations from industrial speakers will be provided as well. The final program will be available here soon.
The program will cover thematic presentations on:
- (i) self-assembly systems and their application,
- (ii) novel nanomaterials and their application, and
- (iii) colloid and interface science for understanding biology.
